辽宁大学比较文学与世界文学硕士学位授予点设立于1994年。培养具有较好专业理论基础、较强研究能力以及较高综合人文素质的高级专门人才，毕业后在可在一般高等院校、科研机构、政府及企事业单位从事科研、教学和管理工作，也可在相关的文化宣传、新闻出版部门工作。

 Comparative literature and world literature of Liaoning University was found in 1994 which can offer Master Degree. In order to let their students  work in institutions of higher education, research institutions, government, enterprise and public institutions, this subject devotes to train advanced specialized talents who own professional theories foundation, strong scientific research capability and integrated humanities qualities. The occupational areas of these postgraduates are  not limited to what we mentioned above, they also can work in cultural propaganda field or department of press and publication.
